For many people who do not know about Kekek Quarry, the quarry is located at the northern part of the Pulau Ubin Island. Being the smallest Quarry on the island, it has been an active training ground for water confidence and rafting programmes managed by Outward Bound School (OBS).
This isolated ground has been an unknown legend to most campers due to the inaccessibility and availability of basic facilities. It is more frequented by participants from the OBS and Adventurers.
In fact, I have been to this place for several times with a few of my friends, Han Xian, Yong Cai, Kee Seng and Wen Hui. We really miss this place for it's nature atmosphere especially the unforgetable "Urine Passageway" which is just a stone away from the Quarry. Now that the Quarry may have to make way for blasting activities, let us hope that these activities will not affect the natural habitat of the estate.
